Wave Italy on ADAC Sim Racing Expo
Wave Italy has successfully participated in the latest edition of ADAC Sim Racing Expo, the reference fair for fans of competitive driving simulation, held at the Nürburgring on September 14-16.
Wave Italy company message, highlighted on a large picture of a race car - "From real racing cars to your simulator" - recalled all the Sim Racers present at the event and crowded the stand for 3 days in a row , animating it with their passion and competence.
The whole range of new professional products was launched at the event.
Great appreciation for the anticipated WAVE IMPACT steering wheel, with 4.3-inch color display, many customizable functions, designed and built on the basis of the controllers used in real F1 and GT cars, and characterized by the utmost attention to detail and aesthetics, such as the ergonomic grip in alcantara and the carbon paddles for gearbox and clutch.
Enthusiasm then for the Wave Impetus and Wave Force pedals-set, made in anodized aluminum, available in various colors and with the new Monza and Imola support-bases to respond to any layout preference for the driving position.
Besides being completely customizable by position, distance, inclinations of the pedals and various parameters of use, the performances are at the highest level of the category: the professionally calibrated load cell gives a total operating range pressure of 200Kg (441lbs), with a maximum foot pressure up to 100Kg (220lbs), throttle and clutch pedal can be set to 10 and 14 different values of the force to be applied on, and are equipped with rotary position sensors for professional use, 5 million cycles guaranteed and a 0.1° sensibility. The 4 driving stations available on the Wave Italy booth saw hundreds of Sim Racer testing the products, all highly appreciated for technical functionality, for beauty and correspondence to those used in real racing cars.
Great protagonist was also the professional Wave Italy F1 simulator, the Phoenix Pro in 2018 version enriched with the Halo and a new professional steering wheel, able to offer unique real sensations of driving on the track.
With the Phoenix Pro, the Wave Italy Championship was played, so that during the days of the show the simulator was constantly engaged by a long line of Sim Racer enthusiasts who competed on the Nürburgring GP circuit, to try and win the new Wave Impetus Monza pedal-set.
The final podium was composed of three young boys, already capable to demonstrate high levels of driving quality. Their best lap times were only a few tenths away from those of the best Formula 1 drivers in Q3
1° Bernard Vella, from Malta, already on the podium of the Sim Racing Malta Formula 3, in Imola, last June
2° Brendon Leigh, from UK and F1 Esport Champion 2017
3° Michele Ricci, Italian, official sim racer driver in 10-50 Barbanera Racing, winner in the Leaderboards
Furthermore, the award ceremony was conducted by Paul Jeffrey, Editor in Chief-Race Department, important and well appreciated Community and Forum for Sim Racers.
Last but not least, Wave Italy shared this beautiful experience at Nürburgring with Leo Bodnar. Based in Silverstone, the company designs and manufactures electronic components including some of the most advanced for Racing Simulators and GT-Station. Wave Italy adopted Leo Bodnar force feedback - sim steering system 2 for both Phoenix Pro and its range of sim racing devices.
ADAC Sim Racing Expo was once again indeed a high quality event, for contents, organization and for the great energy and passion one can feel in every square meter of the show.
Wave Italy will soon be present at other important international fairs, including EAS in Amsterdam and Milan Games Week 2018, ready to present new programs and initiatives to make more and more exciting and unique its proposals for the Sim Racer world, both for fans and those who approach this amazing world for the first time.
